About the program
The bridge between theory and practice
For thirteen years our institute has offered the theoretical Private Investigator training, in which students are carefully prepared to the exam requirements of the SVPB. Over the years, however, we saw a growing need for practical knowledge, particularly after the diploma has been obtained. Work placements are scarce, which means private investigators often have to learn their skills by trial and error in practice.
With the registered program Practical Diploma Private Investigator we bridge theory and practice. The main aim is to build your practical investigative skills. The program consists of four practical modules, each focused on a specific aspect of the profession, which you can take in any order you like.
The four modules
Each focused on practice
The program bundles four practical modules into one registered program:
Interrogation, interview techniques and body language
Conducting informative and confrontational conversations, reading signals and questioning in a structured way.
Observation Technique
Observing in the field: static and dynamic observation, from digital preparation to log and reporting.
Digital investigation
Investigating through open sources: gathering, recording and analyzing information online.
Hypothesis formation and scenario thinking
Strategic thinking: testing assumptions, drawing up scenarios and making a targeted action plan.
During the lessons the theory is alternated with practical exercises, so the material becomes directly applicable. This is how you build your investigative skills in a targeted way.

The common thread
Four modules, one practical diploma
Together the four modules form a complete practical package around the profession of private investigator: interrogation and interview, observation, digital investigation and hypothesis formation.
You take the modules in your own order and constantly alternate theory with practical exercises, so each module becomes directly applicable in your work.
Together the modules build on the theoretical PI or SIO foundation and lead to the SPEN register diploma Practical Diploma Private Investigator.

Target group
Who is this program developed for?
The registered program Practical Diploma Private Investigator is primarily designed for students who already hold a Private Investigator or Special Investigation Officer diploma and want to bridge to practice.
The program is also open to staff of municipalities, insurers and banks and to other investigators who find the content useful for their work. Our students rate the program highly for its practical and applicable character.

A recognized SPEN register diploma
Our training institute has been assessed and registered with the CRKBO, the Central Register for Short Vocational Education. After completing the four modules you receive:

Open, private or customized
While this program is usually offered as an open program, we understand that you may need a private setting given the nature of your work. The four modules can also be delivered privately or customized. We are happy to put together a suitable proposal.
All private programs can be offered in Dutch or English.
All our instructors are screened and have signed non-disclosure agreements with various government agencies. A specific non-disclosure agreement for your organization or service is also possible.
