Discover the power of nonverbal communication with the accredited three-day Registered Body Language Analyst® foundational training course from the International Anti-Crime Academy. This course provides a thorough foundation in reading, understanding, and accurately interpreting body language. You'll develop insight into your own nonverbal behavior and learn to accurately observe and interpret signals in others.
During the training, you'll discover how body language is an essential part of human communication. You'll learn how the brain processes nonverbal signals, why we often interpret too quickly, and how you can overcome these automatic judgments by observing more consciously. The training teaches you to slow down, observe without immediately judging, and distinguish between what you actually observe and what you infer from it.
Step by step, you'll develop a keen eye for subtle movements, facial expressions, and gestures. You'll learn to recognize the building blocks of body language—from posture and facial expressions to hand and foot movements—and discover what these can reveal about intention, emotion, and underlying tension. Extensive attention will be paid to micro-expressions: ultra-brief muscle contractions in the face that unconsciously betray emotions. Through video and case studies, you'll train your ability to recognize and correctly interpret these signals.
The program has a strong practical focus. During the two consecutive classroom days, you'll combine theory with intensive practice, supported by realistic case studies and video training. The third phase of the program is flexible and typically takes about one classroom day. In this phase, you'll work independently on your assessment by analyzing practical cases, describing observations, and linking your findings to concrete behavioral indicators. The assessment can be scheduled at a time that suits you, after which the personal online meeting with the instructor will be scheduled in consultation. This meeting usually takes place within 14 days of the classroom days.
By participating in this course, you will not only develop analytical precision but also greater self-awareness in your own communication. You will learn to read body language as a dynamic and reliable component of human behavior—a skill that is directly applicable in a variety of professional contexts.
Some interesting topics covered:

Distinguishing between observation and interpretation: learning to see what's really happening.

Recognizing the key building blocks of body language: posture, facial expressions, gestures, and movement.

Analyzing micro-expressions and recognizing the seven universal basic emotions.

Establishing a personal baseline and identifying deviations in behavior.

Clustering signals: learning to recognize patterns instead of isolated gestures.

Practicing with video material and realistic practical cases.

Applying observation skills in professional conversations and interviews.

Reflecting on one's own non-verbal communication and consciously using body language for more trustworthy interactions.
This is just a small selection of the topics we'll cover. During this training, you'll be immersed in a wide range of fascinating topics, all focused on reading and understanding body language.
In professional settings, this knowledge is particularly valuable. Consider situations where subtle nonverbal cues can yield crucial information: during interviews, client meetings, negotiations, or observations. The ability to see what others miss makes the difference between assumptions and insight—between hearing what someone says and understanding what they truly mean.
