    Privacy Statement

    Last updated: May 1, 2024

International Anti Crime Academy BV (hereinafter: "IACA" or "we") is a private limited company that focuses on vocational training in (digital) investigation and security. This privacy policy describes how IACA, as the controller, collects, uses, and processes personal data from individuals who visit our website and use our services, as well as personal data collected from business partners, survey responses, or contest entries.

Scope and processing of personal data

By "websites," we mean anti-crime-academy.com and other IACA-operated websites that link to this privacy policy. To provide you with services, we must process personal data. In some cases, we may share your personal data with third parties to assist us in providing our services. If you are unwilling to provide your personal data and have it shared with third parties as described in this privacy policy, you may not be able to use our services.

    Basis for processing

In most cases, we process your data based on your consent or because it's necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you. While consent isn't required, not allowing us to process your personal data may limit your access to certain services.

    Third party websites

Our websites may contain links to third-party websites not operated by IACA. We encourage you to consult the privacy statements of these websites to understand how your data is handled.

    Collection of personal data

When you register for a course or contact us, you will be asked to provide personal information. We also collect data about how you interact with our services. We may also obtain information about you from our business partners or other third parties.

    Automatic data collection

We may automatically receive and collect certain data through website analytics, information from your internet browser when you visit our websites, and the use of cookies. This may include personally identifiable information such as your name and email address, as well as other non-identifying information.

    Information provided by you

The personal data we process about you includes your name, gender, date of birth, place of birth, address, IP address, email address, telephone number(s), address, company, department, position, industry, organizational affiliations, geographic region, and other personal data you actively provide, for example, through correspondence and by phone. We also process and store data related to training assignments, including assessment scores, registration for webcasts and events, and your use of content offered on our websites.

    When you use our websites

We use various technologies to collect information from your computer or device and track your activities on our websites. The following types of information are automatically collected: your IP address, browser type and language, access times, the contents of cookies your browser has accepted but not deleted, referring or exit website addresses, internet service provider, date/time, operating system, language and location preferences, and system configuration information.

    Cookies

During your visit to our websites, we may place one or more cookies on your computer or device to facilitate your access to our site and personalize your online experience. These cookies may be related to tools like Google Analytics and similar technologies. We also automatically collect information about your online activities on our site through cookies, such as the web pages you visit and the links you click. For more detailed information, please refer to our Cookie Policy .

    Other technologies

We use standard internet technologies, such as web beacons, session replay scripts, and similar tools, to track your use of our websites. Web beacons, which are small graphics files with unique identifiers, have functions similar to cookies. Unlike cookies that are stored on your computer's hard drive, pixel tags are embedded invisibly on web pages. We use these technologies in connection with our websites to track user activity, improve advertising, personalize and manage content, and collect usage data. Additionally, we may use these technologies in HTML emails to monitor email response rates, email views, and email forwarding. Session replay software scripts record user interactions with the websites, such as keystrokes, mouse movements and clicks, navigation within and across web pages, and interactions with menus, banners, forms, and fields. By using our websites, you consent to the collection and disclosure of this information.

    Information collected from other sources

In cases where your employer sponsors your training and shares your personal data with us, IACA acts as a data controller alongside your employer. We will work with your employer to handle any data rights requests. Your data and training results will be shared with your employer, and we will process the information in accordance with this privacy policy.
