Are you currently employed but considering a career in (digital) investigations, public order, international security, or tactical research? If so, we'd be happy to work with you to develop a personalized training plan. We currently offer this service to employees of organizations such as:

The Royal Netherlands Army

The Royal Military Police

Police & Judicial Institutions

The Dutch Offshore sector

International government services

Financial organizations
There may be several reasons why you're considering retraining or further training. Some examples include:

Your current position is being terminated because you have reached a certain age.

Your current position will be eliminated.

You want to gain additional knowledge for a future position within your current organization.

It turns out that your current job is not what you want to do for the rest of your life.

Your current (or future) position requires additional or specialized knowledge.
Drawing up a personal training plan is of course entirely without obligation and consists of the following steps:
Phase 1
First, we'll discuss the reason for your further training or retraining. For example, if your current position is about to disappear, we'll need to consider your personal interests and current income. If you're looking for additional knowledge for a potential job change within your organization, we'll work together to determine the required knowledge for that position.
Phase 2
Once we've clarified the reason for your further training or retraining, we'll explore the various options we can offer you. Of course, you'll need a good understanding of the various disciplines. We'll provide you with comprehensive information about the entire sector and detailed information on specific areas: detection, security, research, or public order.
Phase 3
Once you've chosen a specific field, we'll keep you informed about the latest developments in that area. We assume you're interested in a course or training program that's in high demand.
Phase 4
After we've provided you with all the information you need, we'll create your personal training plan together. This plan contains all the information you need to submit for approval to your career counselor or employer. Your career counselor or employer can always contact our training coordinator directly.
The total processing time for compiling a personal training plan is in almost all cases 4 working days.
Basic diploma or specific additional training?
A basic diploma is required for almost all professions in the Dutch investigative sector. For example, a private investigator must hold the recognized ECABO Private Investigator diploma, and a Special Investigation Officer must hold the Basic Civil Enforcement Officer (BOA) diploma. Our Academy naturally offers all essential basic training courses in the sector. We will first determine with you which basic diplomas are required, depending on your interests and chosen field. Then, we will investigate what additional education and training you may need.
Below are some examples of our successful personal training plans:
Example 1
For example, if you want to become a Private Digital Investigator, you'll need not only the basic Private Investigator diploma but also specialized training in conducting digital investigations. However, if you want to work as a digital investigator in (semi-)government, you'll almost always also need the recognized basic diploma of Special Investigation Officer. We'll work with you to determine which courses or training programs are suitable for you.
Example 2
A personal security officer in the Netherlands must hold the Security Officer Level 2 diploma, supplemented with the Personal Security certificate. However, if you wish to perform security work on a seagoing vessel or in a so-called high-risk area, you will need additional international diplomas and documents. We will work with you to determine which education or training courses are necessary in that case.
Example 3
You aspire to a position within a private surveillance team or as a forensic financial investigator. In these cases, the basic Private Investigator diploma must be supplemented with highly specialized training. We will, of course, provide such training for you. If you would like to perform these duties as a special investigating officer, the basic BOA diploma must be supplemented with specific training at a higher level.
MBO or HBO courses
We offer training programs at both vocational and higher professional education levels, depending on your chosen field of study.
A training program within your budget
Your employer will often cover part of the training costs. In certain situations, such as at the Ministry of Defense, a specific budget is reserved that you've built up over the years. If your position becomes redundant, funds are usually made available for further training or retraining. In any case, regardless of your budget, we'll work with you to develop a personalized training plan and explore the field that offers the best opportunities for you.
