    Observation technique

    Observation technique

In this 3-day training you will be taught the latest strategies and techniques in the field of dynamic and static observations in both urban and woodland areas. Tactical observation is one of the most complex methods when it comes to information gathering. In a society that is becoming increasingly vigilant, a professional observation can only be carried out by a specialist in this field.

During this course, theory and practice alternate in a pleasant manner.

The training is divided into three modules:

Module 1: Dynamic and Static Observation

In this module you will learn everything about following a person by vehicle, on foot or by public transport. Planning, preparing and occupying a static observation post is also discussed.

Module 2: Preparation for Dynamic Observations and ABC Procedures

In this module we emphasize the importance of discretion during an observation so as not to attract attention. You will learn the 'do's and don'ts' while conducting an observation. You will also practice ABC procedures to dynamically monitor subjects.

    Module 3: Recording

In this module, our teachers will teach you how to record activities or events in photo or video, or in the form of an audio recording.

During the training, use is made of the textbook 'Observation Technique' (ISBN 9789464375060), which was developed and published in-house by IACA.
