In the complex world of research, scenario thinking and hypothesis formation are indispensable strategic methods. If applied correctly, they provide a solid basis for generating new leads and insights that can be crucial for unraveling complex issues. Our intensive three-day training has been carefully put together to guide you in this. A special addition to our training is the focus on anticipating criminal behavior, a crucial skill that enables you to act proactively in an investigative situation.
We help you recognize and test these assumptions and biases, leaving you open to alternative scenarios that could lead to breakthroughs in your research. We hereby introduce the SceneSee Methodology and ScenarioRadar Analysis (SS/SR), our self-developed methodologies, which help you systematically analyze scenario components and draw up a more detailed flowchart for scenario thinking.
An important focus during the training is on critically evaluating existing information. Through a series of practice-oriented cases, you will learn to look beyond the most obvious explanations. This process helps you quickly generate new leads and insights that can be further analyzed, giving you the opportunity to sharpen and refine your research methodologies.
In addition, extensive attention is paid to structured brainstorming. This technique is essential for generating hypotheses and is practiced in groups. Together with your fellow students you will work on creating scenarios and recognizing, understanding and solving possible research problems.
With the thinking frameworks and techniques provided, you will work on drawing up a targeted plan of action. This plan is specifically tailored to the research methods and resources that are crucial for further deepening and expanding your scenario.

This unique course offers an excellent opportunity for anyone who is involved, or wants to be involved in the future, with research in the broadest sense of the word. Whether you work as a private investigator, with the police, financial institution or security department, the knowledge and skills you gain during this training are very valuable. No specific prior knowledge or previous training is required, making the training accessible to a wide audience.
However, the training is also valuable for those who already have some experience with research, but want to deepen their expertise and develop an advanced understanding of scenario and hypothesis formation, especially through our own developed methodologies of the SceneSee Methodology and ScenarioRadar Analysis (SS/SR ). Through a combination of theory, practice-oriented cases and group discussions, our training offers participants the opportunity to not only learn new skills, but also to collaborate and learn from fellow professionals in an interactive and challenging learning environment.

Although this training is mainly offered in a classroom setting, we understand that you may want to ask questions in a private setting due to the nature of your work. We can provide a private training at our location for a minimum of twelve participants. We also offer fully customized training courses, based on (parts of) this module.
